Jade Coats, OD, FAAO is a nationally recognized optometrist with clinical expertise in ocular surface disease, dry eye management, contact lenses, and perioperative care for premium cataract and refractive surgery. She spent the first decade of her career practicing in a collaborative OD/MD setting, where she integrated evidence-based care with a strong emphasis on patient education, pharmaceuticals, and clinical innovation in premium surgeries. She now uses those skills as she works in private practice with an emphasis on comprehensive care, ocular surface disease, dry eye management, contact lenses, and aesthetics.
As an influential voice in the profession, Dr. Coats serves on the boards of the Intrepid Eye Society and as a Director for the Arkansas Optometric Association. She has been recognized as a Contact Lens Institute Visionary in both 2023 and 2024 for her contributions to contact lens advancements and education. In 2025, she was named Young Optometrist of the Year for the state of Arkansas as well as Young OD of the Year by Women in Optometry, honoring her leadership, innovation, and dedication to advancing the field.
