Shane R. Kannarr, OD managing member Kannarr Eye care, clinical investigator, optometric educator is based in Pittsburg, KS.

Shane R. Kannarr, OD has practiced optometry since graduating from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2000. After practicing in a variety of practices, he returned to Pittsburg, Ks with his family and opened Kannarr Eye Care in 2009. The practice has grown into a 6 doctor 4 location practice serving Southeast Kansas. Dr. Kannarr is directly involved in clinical care and serves as managing member.
Along with patient care, Dr. Kannarr has become involved in clinical research, having served as principal investigator in over 200 clinical trials involving pharma, contact lenses, and devices. He is also one of the founding members and president of Eye Research Associates, a clinical research group.
Dr. Kannarr has also lectured regionally, nationally and internationally on a variety of topics with emphasis on ocular disease, practice management and contact lenses. Along with this role, Dr. Kannarr has served in an advisory role for a variety of industry partners. He is the Vision Source administrator for southeast Kansas. Dr. Kannarr currently serves on the Kansas Optometric Association Legislative committee.
