Short Bio
Aaron Zimmerman is a clinical professor at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He is a Diplomate in the Cornea, Contact Lenses, and Refractive Technologies section of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO). He teaches the advanced contact lens course, the laser, injections, and minor surgical procedures course, and is the service chief for contact lenses. His research interests are in sports vision and contact lens adverse events. He currently serves as Chair of the Lectures & Workshops Committee of the AAO and serves on the Commission for Ophthalmic Standards for the American Optometric Association and is a respresentative for the AOA on the ASC Z80 committee. He is a cover author of The Ophthalmic Laser Handbook and has 29 publications as a named author. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their two sons, Clayton and Leo.
