Jeff Michaels, OD, MBA, FAAO is best known for his #AskAOA webinar series of PPP and other assistance webinars that helped optometrists obtain over $2 billion in federal relief to blunt the impact of the COVID-19 economic crisis. He has lectured internationally over the past 20 years on a range of topics including anterior and posterior ocular diseases, optometry lasers, Medicare payment reform and practice management.

Dr. Michaels graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry and is fellowship trained from Johns Hopkins University. He is co-owner of a 9-doctor, 2-office group practice near Richmond, VA.

Dr. Michaels was the AOA Optometrist of the Year in 2022.
